According to an article in the Toronto Star,
TheStar.com - Privacy law faces legal challenge, the government of Quebec intends to challenge the constitutionality of the
Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. This is a bit of a surprise, since PIPEDA
does not apply to provincially regulated organizations in Quebec since the federal cabinet issued an order deeming the Quebec privacy law to be substantially similar to PIPEDA. (See the

Organizations In the Province of Quebec Exemption Order.)
